Ald. Solis Casts His Vote in the April 5th Aldermanic Runoff Election

Ald. Danny Solis cast his vote in the 25th Ward Aldermanic Runoff early on Saturday March 19, 2011. The Alderman, who has served the 25th Ward for nearly 15 years, met 150 supporters in Chinatown to kick off a canvassing event that covered all 31 precincts in the ward. 150 volunteers canvassed over 1,300 doors on the beautiful spring Saturday. This was one of a series of Saturday canvassing events where hundreds of volunteers come and show their support for the Alderman and the ward. Each Saturday, the events are held in different areas around the ward including Pilsen, Little Italy, University Village, Tri-Taylor, and Chinatown. This week, supporters were able to follow the Alderman to the Chinatown library where they too cast their ballots for the upcoming election.
