The Streets and Sanitation crew has been out already and has a plan for plowing more snow tonight and tomorrow.
- The main streets will be plowed first, followed by residential streets. The snow will be moved into piles on the corners. Then, salt spread throughout the evening into morning, until the snowfall ends and then the snow piles will be removed.
- Garbage pick up will be suspended for a few days while the crews are diverted to plowing services.
- When shoveling, pile snow on the parkway, not the street and be sure not to cover fire hydrants.
- Please do not save your parking spot with chairs or cones, as we need to keep the street as clear as possible.
- On main streets, such as 18th Street and Cermak, please check signage to make sure you are not parking where there is a 2 inch snow ban, as you will be ticketed and towed.
