Infrastructure Improvements in the 25th Ward

The 25th Ward is constantly making updates to the aging infrastructure.

Water main installation is anticipated to begin in mid-June 2010, with completion of this project in mid-September 2010. After the new water main has been installed, the described area will experience an increase in the availability of water for fire projection and domestic use. This project is part of Mayor Daley’s commitment to Chicago citizens to maintain and upgrade Chicago’s infrastructure.

Location Affected:
S. Wolcott Avenue from W. 22nd Place to Blue Island Avenue
W. 23rd Street Alleys from S. Winchester Avenue to S. Wolcott Avenue
S. Canalport Avenue from 21st Street to S. Sangamon Street (construction anticipated starting end of July)
W. 21st Street to from Leavitt to Marshfield
S. Canalport Avenue from Sangamon Street to Peoria
